Flock Safety Transparency Portal

The Hazelwood Police Department has been utilizing License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology since January of 2010. The technology captures license plates and vehicle images that assist in criminal investigations, recovery of stolen vehicles/license plates, and arrests of wanted individuals. Recently, our department has employed LPR services with Flock Safety. The LPRs throughout the City of Hazelwood help your Officers know when criminals are coming into the area and give them a head start to stop crimes before they occur. The Hazelwood Police Department has worked with Flock Safety to develop a Transparency Portal that shows how the system works and what information is collected.
