Celebrate Safe Communities

Celebrate Safe Communities is an annual community-building campaign hosted by the Neighborhood Watch Commission that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. Our goal is to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits, and much more.

Celebrate Safe Communities is usually held in the second or third week of September. For additional details like how to get involved or find out where block parties are in your neighborhood, contact the Neighborhood Watch Commission Secretary Kristen Capps-Jones at (314) 513-5201.
