Public Works

The Public Works Department consists of two divisions:

Solid Waste & Recycling

In addition to the duties of these divisions, Public Works administers the solid waste and recycling contract for the City, maintains liaison with utility providers and outside governmental agencies, administers the sewer lateral program as well as public improvement bidding and contracts including federal grant procurement. The Public Works Director serves in a dual capacity as the City Engineer and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Impacting Lives

Public Works impacts our residents lives on a daily basis, whether by driving on City streets, walking on a sidewalk, or disposal of recycling and solid waste. We create a sense of community through recreation with our parks, aquatic center, and community centers.

First Responders

Among the first responders, Public Works is the first to arrive, last to leave during natural disasters. We work hard to assemble, train and celebrate a dedicated team of people that provides the best possible service to our residents by maximizing efficiencies with the resources allocated to the Department.
