The Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) has launched a financial assistance program for landlords and tenants called the State Assistance for Housing Relief (SAFHR) Program. The SAFHR program provides assistance with rent and utilities for Missouri residents who have been directly or indirectly financially impacted by COVID-19.
They have two application portals open, one for TENANTS and one for LANDLORDS. The program can assist income eligible households with up to 12 months of financial assistance.
MHDC is the state administrator for the emergency rental and utility assistance authorized by Congress to help with COVID relief.
