With Independence Day Weekend coming up, here is a list of DOs and DO NOTs for this weekend:
- DO NOT discharge fireworks. The City of Hazelwood does not permit the recreational use of fireworks.
- DO be considerate. The sound of explosions can cause distress to veterans, pets, elderly, young children, and those with PTSD.
- DO NOT drink and drive. Designate a sober driver and keep the roadways safe.
- DO enjoy your holiday with family and friends. The City of Hazelwood will NOT be doing a fireworks show this year due to budget cuts so catch a professional fireworks show around the area.
